Hi, I have a Volkswagen Polo 1.4 TDI BWB engine 2008 model. Yellow glow plug light is blinking time to time. I’ve scanned DTCs with an OBD scanner which I bought from Biltema in the Norway. I am not sure if it shows me the correct fault code since it’s cheap and non-branded device but that’s the only thing I can diagnose my car with it now. I am looking for some advices which can guide me to solve this issue. Thanks in advance.

I’ve had same issue with my car. I asked for help on some forums online such as tdiclub – https://forums.tdiclub.com/index.php?threads/polo-9n3-p0245-turbocharger-wastegate-actuator-a-low.537747/
Someone has recommended me the following Ross-Tech’s recommendations here https://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/16629/P0245/000581
Possible Causes
I’ve checked everything on this list but it didn’t help me to solve my problem. Then I focused more on wiring since i was kinda sure that sensors and other companents were working well. So I just found the wiring diagram for Turbocharger wastegate actuator and checked every wires on the diagram.
At the end I figured out that wires were demaged on intake air temperature, boost pressure and crankshaft sensors but OBD device showing me fault about turbocharger. All faults were gone when I repaired broken cables on these sensors.
I bet that’s wiring issue 100%.Just focus on wires around actuator.
Tayfun Mutlu and Rigormortis you both were right. There was some damaged wires nearby exhaust pressure sensor.
