P2279 , P0106 and P0401 DTCs on Mercedes C220 CDI

Hi,
I’ve a C220 CDI with OM651 engine code. I was getting DTC for clogged DPF before and it disappeared after I clean it up but after a while it started to giving me P2279, P0106 and P0401 codes.

  • P2279 stands for intake air leak
  • P0106 stands for MAP sensor performance issues
  • P0401 stands for insufficient flow on EGR

So I focused on the leakage and run a smoke test on the hose system. There was a little bit leakage on the MAP sensor so I replaced it but still getting these fault codes. Car goes into limp mode if I rev more than 3000 for a while and goes back to normal after 10 seconds.

Any ideas ?

      I would suggest to focus on EGR valve first. Just clean it first and remove all DTCs and check whats happening again.
      Here https://ask4auto.com/egr-maintenance-for-golf/#comment-78 I explained how to maintenance EGR for VW Golf but process quite much similar on every car with EGR.
